Opposition parties in Punjab, including the Congress, and the Shiromani Akali Dal on Friday (May 1, 2026) leveled serious allegations against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who alleged that he appeared drunk during a meeting in the Vidhan Sabha and demanded an alcohol test.
Congress MLAs staged a strike and urged the Speaker to initiate action, while the party also called for dope testing of all MLAs and an independent medical check by PGIMER.
