The much awaited Malayalam film ‘Patriot’ hit the theaters on Friday (May 1, 2026), marking a full-fledged reunion of senior actors Mammootty and Mohanlal after 18 years.
Inauguration day shows were sold out in advance as fans of the lead actors flocked to theaters expecting an exciting cinematic experience. Touted as a spy action drama, the film is directed by Mahesh Narayanan, whose earlier films include ‘Ariyippu’, ‘Malik’, ‘Take Off’ and ‘CU Soon’. The film was released in over 500 screens in Kerala alone.
