Following the recommendations of the Expert Committee on Technical Education Reforms, headed by former Director of the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B), S. Sadagopan, the state government has decided to set up the Karnataka Engineering Education Reform Authority (KEERA).
Briefing the media about the committee report, Higher Education Minister MC Sudhakar said, “We will introduce structural reforms in engineering education based on the report’s recommendations. We have to bring a separate legislation for setting up KEERA, which we will discuss and decide soon.”
