The annual Vasanthotsavam was held amid a scenic setting reminiscent of the Seshachalam hills at the Friday Garden at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanur on Thursday.
Traditionally celebrated as a spring festival in the hottest month of the Hindu almanac, this ritual also signifies a summer retreat for the goddess. The ‘Sukravaraputhota’ (Friday Garden) was decorated with hanging fruits and flowers reminiscent of Seshachalam forest, the home of her husband Lord Venkateswara.
