District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Wednesday dismissed reports of petrol and diesel shortage in the city as baseless and urged the public not to be misled by rumours.
While inspecting the fuel outlet of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited near Ram Talkies in Resapuvanipal, the Collector, accompanied by officials from Civil Supplies and Legal Metrology, inspected the stock registers and worked with the staff to assess the situation on the ground.
