West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari landed at the same polling booth in Bhabanipur’s Chakraberia on Wednesday morning (April 29, 2026) and sparred with each other without any direct interaction, underscoring the prestige battle going on in the CM’s political bastion.
Although they did not meet face-to-face or exchange pleasantries, the two rival candidates were briefly in the same area in ward number 70 in Chakraberia, where Ms. Banerjee sat outside the local party office after receiving complaints of alleged intimidation by local TMC leaders.
