Andhra Pradesh National Backward Classes Association General Secretary Burli Seetham Naidu on Sunday urged political parties to allot more seats for BC in municipal elections, ZPTC, MPTC according to population in their respective areas.
Addressing a media conference in Vizianagaram, he said that the NBCWA would hold its conclave in Visakhapatnam very soon to highlight issues like allotment of more BC seats, reservation for BCs in Parliament, Assembly and other legislative bodies and possibility of reservation for OBCs at the national level and other issues.
Mr. Naidu said NBCWA national president R. Krishnaiah and Madduluru Association president Subhash Yadav would attend the conclave and bring the BC issue to the attention of the government. He said the government should take BC’s population during the census to know that the population is more than 70% in the state.

Mr. Naidu said the party has appointed new committees for Vizianagaram district and assembly constituencies to unite the backward classes in nooks and crannies of the state.
