
University of Calicut (CU) student union officials on Tuesday (April 28 evening) staged a protest outside the office of the Controller of Examinations at the main campus at Tenhipalam in Malappuram district against the plan to start examinations for fourth semester students on May 7.
Union officials led by PK Shifana, chairman, locked the office around 4:00 pm and prevented the employees from going out. Although the police were called, the students did not open the door and followed through on their demand that the exam dates be rescheduled.
