Surya Kutty, a transgender woman from Coimbatore, was crowned ‘Miss Koovagam’ at a pageant organized in connection with the annual Koothandavar festival in Villupuram on Monday (April 27, 2026) evening.
The beauty pageant is one of the main attractions of the festival celebrating transgender people, which culminates in the crowning of ‘Miss Koovagam’.
