
Lungi Ngidi did not start for Delhi Capitals in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Monday.Ngidi has been ruled out for DC’s next match also against Rajasthan Royals on May 1, Cricbuzz reported.The report also states that the ICC mandates a mandatory seven-day inactivity period for any player diagnosed with concussion. He added that Ngidi was asked to follow the same rule even though the IPL playing conditions did not specifically mention it. He was released from hospital later that evening after scans showed no serious problems.

He later joined the team before the Punjab Kings match, but was allowed to play only from 1.For the RCB match, Delhi Capitals have included overseas pacers Kyle Jamieson and Dushmanth Chameer in their playing eleven.
