Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda on Monday said there has been a general decline in all aspects of society and pro-people movements have declined.
“Those with knowledge have become cynical about the system. Today we are witnessing decline in all aspects of society. It has declined for the people’s movement. What we demand now is Allam’s philosophy, Basavanna’s action and Ambigar Chowdaiah’s anger,” the former prime minister wrote in a letter of thanks to the Basava Samiti, which selected him for the ‘Basava Sri.
