Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Ladakh, the Leh Apex Body (LAB), an amalgam of socio-political-religious organisations, on Monday (April 27, 2026) embarked on a confidence-building exercise and sought a meeting with Mr Shah during his two-day tour of the Union Territory (UT) from April 30.
The LAB top brass urged the government to convene a meeting of a high-powered committee comprising members of the LAB and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA), set up under the leadership of Mr Shah.
