Doctors at the KH Patil Institute of Medical Sciences in Gadag performed a successful rare surgery and saved the life of the poor patient, Minister HK Patil said on Sunday.
Mr. Patil told reporters in Gadag that the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) surgery performed in Gadag was the first successful attempt to perform such surgery in a government hospital outside Bengaluru’s Jayadeva Hospital.
