Self-enumeration will ensure accurate data collection, promote transparency and save time, said District Joint Collector NTR S. Ilakkiya, urging the public to complete the self-enumeration process for Census 2027.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, Ms. Ilakkiya said that Census 2027 was important for many purposes, including targeted development programs and effective public administration, and that on Sunday (April 26, 2026), Ms. Ilakkiya launched a 5 km run organized jointly by the district administration and the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium in the city.
