CSK vs GT, IPL 2026: Update | Scorecard
LOW RUN CSK IN CHEPAUK
The Super Kings have long regarded Chepauk as their stronghold, where visiting teams have traditionally struggled to find their feet. However, since last season, he has been struggling in the arena. This season, ČSK experienced its share of ups and downs at home. They started at the loss of five wickets with Punjab Kings chasing 210 with eight balls to play.
But then they bounced back to beat Delhi Capitals by 23 runs thanks to Sanju Samson’s heroic 115 off 56 balls and Jamie Overton’s four-wicket haul. The Super Kings then put up a strong show against the Kolkata Knight Riders, winning by 32 runs.
SUDHARSAN DEPARTS CSK
However, against the Titans, the Super Kings floundered again. After being asked to bat first, CSK got off to a horror start, scoring just 28 runs in the over while losing three wickets. Then Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a 49-ball fifty to steady the ship for the home team.
Gaikwad eventually finished unbeaten on 74 off 60 balls, guiding the Super Kings to 158 for seven. In response, the Titans needed just 16.4 overs to chase down the target and hand CSK yet another defeat. Sudharsan, who considers Chepauk his home team with Tamil Nadu, scored 87 off 46 balls, including four fours and seven sixes.
The defeat leaves the Super Kings precariously sixth in the table with six points and a net pace of -0.121, having won three of their eight games.
The Super Kings will be looking to bounce back when they take on Mumbai Indians in Chepauk on Saturday, May 2.
