LPG cylinder price today, April 25: Domestic and commercial gas rates in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and other cities remained stable on April 25 despite rising global oil prices. Although the domestic price of LPG cylinders has not changed since the March increase, commercial LPG has seen a two-fold increase since the outbreak of conflict in West Asia.
Oil prices have seen global volatility due to disruptions to global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway through which 20% of energy exports are carried. Since the start of the Iran-US-Israel conflict on February 28, oil prices have jumped about 50%. However, the Indian government has stepped in to cushion consumers from the impact of oil price changes and control inflation. State-run oil companies set the price of LPG in India, which is revised every month.
