With Ratna Debnath, the mother of a doctor who was sexually assaulted and killed at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital in 2024 by his side, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Panihati on Friday (April 24, 2026) and launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress, calling it the “counter party”.
Ms. Debnath is contesting from Panihati assembly seat in North 24 Parganas districtwhich will vote in the second phase on April 29.
