The Italian vessel Enrica Lexie, from which two marines opened fire and killed fishermen off the Kerala coast in 2012, and its Naples-based owner have sought an early hearing in the Supreme Court to release the ₹3 crore bond and all other bonds entered into in the case.
Senior Advocate Sanjay M. Nuli and Advocate Anu B., appearing before Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, appearing for the ship and its owner M/s Dolphin Tanker, represented by their authorized attorney Robert William, urged for a hearing by April 30.
