Two arrested for alleged cow theft at Badiadka in Kasaragod

The Badiadka police have arrested two persons from Mangaluru for allegedly stealing a cow from Kanyappada and are actively searching for three other accused involved in the case.

Those arrested are Rasiq, 21, of Jokatte, Mangaluru, and Mohammed Irbas, 26, of Ullal. They were taken into custody from Mangaluru city on Friday afternoon.

The police also secured the car that was used to transport the stolen animal. During interrogation, the accused admitted that the stolen cow was sold to a slaughterhouse in Ullal.

Police said the arrested accused would be brought to justice, while efforts were intensified to track down and arrest the remaining three suspects.
