The Spanish legend stepped onto the makeshift court set up at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium, creating a unique transition between tennis and football. Nadal teamed up with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for an entertaining session against world number one Jannik Sinner and midfielder Jude Bellingham. Moments later, Nadal said: “It was very special to enjoy this unique court at the Bernabeu.”Watch:

The exhibition was part of the promotions surrounding the Madrid Open, with players able to train at the iconic stadium for a limited time. There were also several stars, including Iga Swiatek. Apart from the exhibition, the young Spanish player Rafael Jódar attracted attention at the Madrid Open. After winning his debut match in a hard-fought three-set battle, he celebrated by copying Bellingham’s famous goal celebration and even writing “Hey Jude” into the television camera. The gesture caught the attention of Bellingham, who later met him and posed for photographs.Jódar was delighted with the interaction, saying: “I spoke to him after the match and asked him if he enjoyed it.” He added: “I didn’t know he would be here, it meant a lot to me. He’s a great person. I’m very grateful he came. He’s an example for me, he’s my favorite footballer.”The 19-year-old’s win was historic, becoming only the third Spaniard after Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz to win the Madrid Open before turning 20. Reflecting on his performance, he said, “I was really looking forward to competing here, but I knew I had to play a solid game from start to finish.”
