
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to make Amaravati a revenue-generating city and a key growth engine for the state. Presiding over the 60th meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) at the Secretariat on Thursday, he emphasized that the capital’s infrastructure should reflect Telugu culture while featuring iconic high-rises.
Mr. Naidu said that Amaravati is designed to be a green, blue and very vibrant city with a focus on sustainability and modern urban planning. He emphasized the importance of attracting investment and positioning the capital as a center of economic activity. Plans include developing a financial district, allocating land for banks and financial institutions, and adopting advanced infrastructure systems such as district cooling and underground water, electricity, and gas distribution.
