An awareness program conducted by Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College here on Thursday highlighted the need to eradicate the spread of Congress grass, also known as parthenium, from near residences.
The program was organized by the university’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at Durgasamudram village in Tirupati Rural Mandal. Scientists at the event explained that the rapid spread of congress grass in the area could seriously harm the environment, livestock and also human health.
