The Supreme Court on Thursday (April 23, 2026) set aside the verdict of the Chhattisgarh High Court that awarded life imprisonment to Amit Jogi, son of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, in the 2003 murder case of NCP leader Ramavatara Jaggi.
The Supreme Court recently convicted Jogi in the case and ordered him to surrender to jail authorities.
On 31 May 2007, the trial court ruled that the prosecution had successfully proved the charges against the 28 accused.
