A protest march led by former Kerala Director General of Police (DGP) turned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councilor R. Sreelekha in the capital sparked a heated debate on social media after it raised slogans widely seen as derogatory towards the police force.
The former IPS officer was part of the BJP Mahila Morcha demonstration outside the Vattiyurkavu police station in connection with the recent clash between BJP and Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) workers in Nettayam and alleged police excesses against BJP activists.
