The Election Commission of India has made extensive arrangements to set up more than 75,000 polling booths across Tamil Nadu as the state of 5.73 million voters is set to elect 234 legislators for its 17th Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
Election officials have been sent to their designated polling stations while Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), including 1,06,418 voting units, 75,064 control units and 75,064 VVPAT units, have been deployed across the state.
