The recent hike in sanitation charges during the water rate hike has left non-domestic users in the Peenya industrial area in a quandary as the total cost has reportedly gone up manifold. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is likely to revisit the hike and re-examine the charges, according to sources.
A member of the Peenya Industries Association (PIA) told The Hindu that several businesses had written to the chairman seeking an intervention to reduce the fees as the revised rates were substantial.
