Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on the US Supreme Court, accusing Democratic-leaning justices of acting in a unified political bloc and criticizing some Republican justices for not doing the same.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “Democratic judges stick together like glue… They ALWAYS vote as a group, or BLOCK.” He contrasted this with Republican judges, claiming they “don’t hold it together” and have handed Democrats “win after win.”
Criticism of the customs decision
Trump took aim at the recent tariff decision, claiming it led to massive financial losses. “To hand over $159 billion in rolled back tariffs … is inexplicable,” he wrote, calling the ruling “an unnecessary and expensive slap in the face of the US.”
Concerns regarding birthright citizenship
The US president also warned against a potential decision on birthright citizenship, saying it could have serious consequences. “If they rule against our country based on birthright citizenship… it will cost America a huge amount of money and… her DIGNITY!” he said.
“The yard is already packed”
Trump dismissed Democratic calls to expand the bench, saying, “Radical left Democrats don’t need to ‘pack the court,’ it’s already full!”
The remarks come at a time of continued political tension over the court’s rulings and the Supreme Court’s broader role in shaping key policy issues in the United States.
