Industrialist Harsh Goenka has joined a viral video from Mumbai in which he supports a woman who faced the authorities over a traffic disruption caused by a political rally.
Sharing his reaction to X, Goenka said the woman expressed what many citizens experience but rarely express publicly.
“The image of an angry lady screaming at a political leader and his party for blocking the road has gone viral. That one woman said what millions of us feel. Stop blocking roads for your political agendas. Stop blocking roads, temples, VIPs. People have jobs, emergencies, lives. This claim has gone too far,” he wrote.

A commuter whose car has been stuck in traffic for hours is seen getting out and walking into the middle of the rally. Visibly frustrated, she questions the disruption caused to the public and demands that the road be cleared.
At one point he yells, “Get out of here!” and points to a nearby open space, arguing that such gatherings could take place without blocking key roads.
Rally in Worli triggers traffic jam
The incident occurred during a protest march organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra.
The demonstration targeted the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), including the Congress and its allies, over the rejection of the Women’s Reservation Act at the Centre.

Scheduled to start at 5 PM, the march reportedly started late, leading to severe traffic jams in the Worli area. The route ran from Jambhori Maidan to Dome through roads that usually see heavy traffic.
The woman seen in the video was reportedly on her way to pick up her child from school when she stopped for an extended period of time.
A heated exchange with officials
As the situation escalated, the commuters directly addressed minister Girish Mahajan, questioning the decision to hold the rally in a manner that disrupted daily life.
Her frustration spread to the police present at the scene. When officers tried to intervene, she insisted on speaking to higher-ups. She was later escorted to the party where police attempted to address her concerns.
The video of the exchange quickly went viral, sparking reactions across social media.
The Internet is responding
The incident and Goen’s remarks drew a wide range of reactions online.
One user commented: “While I very much agree with what’s causing it and we need to end this VIP jamboree, it’s also very difficult to understand who has what political affiliation these days as the real story is slowly coming out.”

Another wrote, referring to Animal Farm: “In a power-driven society like ours, as George Orwell says in Animal Farm, ‘Some animals are more equal than others.’ It evoked the feelings of millions of people in Indian cities. System failure. It is time for us taxpayers to demand our rights.”
A third user pointed out the recurring traffic problems: “Unfortunately this culture in Mumbai has become sickening… Secondly, this VIP culture and the way they double and triple park without care all over the world is visible to all – Jamshedji Tata Road, Churchgate, LIC lane, Dinshaw Wachcha Road.”
