Subject to progress in diplomatic talks between the US and Iran, Iran’s aviation safety regulator has outlined a gradual reopening of its airspace following the resumption of domestic flights from Wednesday (April 22, 2026).
Local media said Iran Air will resume domestic flight operations from Wednesday after more than 50 days of airspace closures triggered by escalating tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel that peaked on February 28.
