The Telangana High Court stayed the e-tendering notice issued by the state government on April 2 for the purchase of carpets, bed sheets, blankets, towels and uniforms for students of the state’s government residential educational institutions.
Justice Anil Kumar Jukanti of the Supreme Court allowed the writ petition challenging the e-tendering notification and directed all the state government departments to follow the dictates of GO Ms. No. 1 issued on March 11, 2024. The GO said that it is necessary for all departments to compulsorily provide continuous employment opportunities from Telangana State Handloom Weavers (Weavers Limited Weavers).
