
A learning support scheme for government school students from classes V to IX who failed to secure 30% minimum marks in the annual examinations began in the state on Monday amid much confusion.
Although the director of general education issued a clarification late on Sunday regarding the change of class timings to 7:30-10:30 instead of the planned 9:30-12:30 following a directive by the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights to ensure that classes end at 10:30, before temperatures rose in teachers’ organizations.
