Students will get marks, not marks, for the third language in the SSLC exam held this year. On April 21, the Karnataka High Court made it clear that any proposal for awarding marks in a third language can only be considered from the next academic year as per the law.
Justice EC Indiresh passed the order while disposing of a review petition filed by the state government, which wanted the court to review its April 15 verdict on a petition filed on April 8 by three students, Sahana R. Naik of Chikkamagaluru district, Anusha and Sudiksha of Udupi district.
