Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday (April 20, 2026) taunted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for campaigning heavily in West Bengal for the assembly elections and asked if Mr Modi wanted to settle in the state and become its chief minister.
“Does he want to become the chief minister of West Bengal or (does he) want to remain the prime minister of the country?” a Congress leader said at a public meeting in Cooch Behar district.
