Linking women’s reservation with delimitation as part of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026 is “unconstitutional” and “undemocratic,” CPI(M) Scrutiny Committee Chairman G. Ramakrishnan said in an interview to The Hindu in Udhagamandalam on Sunday.
Mr. Ramakrishnan, who was in the Nilgiris to support the candidature of Congress and DMK candidates contesting in Udhagamandalam and Coonoor, said all opposition parties demanded that reservation and delimitation of women should be made as separate laws.
