During an inspection conducted by the Wayanad District Enforcement Squad in the Kaniyambetta panchayat area against the sale of single-use plastic bags, various establishments were fined on Sunday (April 19, 2026).
A fine of ₹10,000 each was collected from CTM Vegetables and Tara Kitchen Mart.
District enforcement squad commander KK Ranjini, squad member Vineetha George, enforcer K. Anoop and Kaniyambetta panchayat health inspector Harshal Antony attended the inspection.
