Traffic rarely eases in Maduravoyal Assembly constituency in Tiruvallur district. From Arcot Road to Poonamallee High Road, vehicle queues, junction bottlenecks and diversions caused by ongoing infrastructure works have become a daily routine for residents and commuters alike.
The constituency is spread along the western corridor of Chennai and includes districts like Maduravoyal, Nerkundram, Nolambur, Vanagaram, Alapakkam, Porur and parts of Valasaravakkam. Due to its location along key thoroughfares, the constituency has developed into an important corridor connecting Chennai to its expanding suburbs, witnessing steady residential growth over the years.
