Ayush Mhatre Injury Major Update (Screengrab/X) Chennai Super Kings could deal with a major injury scare after young batsman Ayush Mhatre suffered a hamstring injury during the chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The incident occurred in the fourth over of CSK’s chase of 195 when Mhatre stopped at mid-on while attempting the second run. Apparently in discomfort, he slowed significantly near the crease and required immediate attention from a physio.Despite the pain, Mhatre chose to continue batting briefly and showed grit and determination. However, his stay was cut short as he was eventually helped off the pitch with visible difficulties by support staff, including Ramakrishna Ghosh and the team physio. He was seen limping badly, causing concern in the CSK camp.

After the match, batting coach Michael Hussey confirmed the seriousness of the situation and revealed that the injury may be more serious than first thought.“Ayush Mhatre has torn his hamstring.
