
Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will inaugurate the Sree Sankara Jayanti celebrations organized by the Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University at its main campus in Kalady on 21 April 2026.
Writer C. Radhakrishnan and Swami Narasimhananda will deliver lectures on the occasion. According to a published report, Vice Chancellor Ciza Thomas and Syndicate member R. Ajayan will speak.
Organized by Yogakshema Sabha and Sree Sankara Trust, the celebrations will be held at Sree Sankara Vidyapeetom College in Perumbavoor. K. Jayakumar, President Travancore Devaswom Board, will inaugurate the programme. The ‘Sreesankara Vedaratna’ award will be presented to scholar Varanakod Govindan Namboodiri on the occasion, a statement said.
