While busy roads, burgeoning restaurants and commercial ventures point to growing opportunities and rapid urbanization in many areas, Madhavaram constituency continues to face a lack of infrastructure and related issues such as solid waste management and piped drinking water supply.
The relatively new constituency, which is facing its fourth parliamentary election, has more than 4.2 million citizens to vote this year. With the progress of Chennai Metro Rail works over the last few years, it has become a real estate hub for people who want to set up their homes in the city.
