IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Friday urged defense industries, research laboratories and scientists to work with the Telangana government to build a strong aerospace ecosystem in the national capital region.
Addressing the Indian Aeronautical Society’s national conference on ‘Changing Scenario in Aerospace: R&D, Manufacturing and Certification’ organized by its local chapter at the Engineering Staff College of India in Hyderabad, he said that Telangana and Hyderabad have the required infrastructure, strong talent and specialized aerospace clusters. More than 1,500 firms based in the state contribute to global aviation supply chains, he noted.
