Nida Khan, named as an accused in one of the nine First Information Reports (FIRs) registered in the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) sexual harassment and forcible conversions case, is set to approach a local court in Nashik seeking anticipatory bail. Among the several reasons to be mentioned in the anticipatory bail application is that she is currently pregnant. Meanwhile, a special investigation team questioned the husband of Ms. Nida Khan in Mumbra on Friday. The police issued a statement that Ms. Nida Khan was absconding and that three teams had been formed to trace her.
“We took Mrs. Nida Khan’s husband into custody and interrogated him. He gave us an address saying she had gone to one of their relatives. We immediately sent a police team there but found the house locked. Her phone is also switched off. Even her relatives’ phones are switched off. If she has nothing to hide, why doesn’t she appear before the police?” asked Nashik Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandip Mitke. Leads the SIT team.
