Amid accusations and accusations of “family politics” in the JD(S) and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s family, former minister SR Mahesh on Friday revealed that Yathindra Siddaramaiah, MLC, was removed from the electoral roll in Mysuru and enrolled in Bengaluru to help him secure a seat in Greater Bengal.
Responding to Yathindra’s explanation that “family politics” in the JD(S) was fundamentally different from the “heritage politics” practiced by their family, Mr. Mahesh told reporters that Dr. Yathindra was not only an Ashraya committee member and an MLC, but was now enrolled in the voters’ list of Bengaluru, a key condition in the GBA.
