Two arrests, ₹5 cash and jewelery worth ₹10 lakh found in Nellore

Chinna Bazar police arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in domestic theft cases and recovered over ₹5 lakh in cash and jewelery worth ₹10,000 from their possession.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Shaik Khader (28) and Marri Ashok (25), both residents of Janardhanreddy Colony in Venkateswarapuram in Nellore district. Police said the accused targeted locked houses during the day and stole valuables at night.

Acting on a complaint filed by Dachuri Maheswari that her house was ransacked by miscreants on May 8 while she was away to attend her younger sister’s wedding functions, the police registered a case and started investigation.

In response to the series of house thefts in the city, the night patrol has been intensified under the supervision of Additional SP (Admin) Ch. Soujanya and Nellore Town ASP Deeksha, as directed by SP Ajith Vejandla.

A police team led by CI Ch. Koteswara Rao, SI A. Ayyappa, SI SK. Abdul Razak arrested the accused.
