A team of the Madhya Pradesh Police (MP) has arrived in the city to investigate a case registered in connection with the marriage of a woman – said to be a minor since then – whose Maha Kumbh Mela video has gone viral.
A woman who got married in Kerala after local authorities allegedly verified her documents and confirmed that she was an adult, kept claiming to be over 18 years old. However, her family continues to say otherwise. She is learned to have asked District Superintendent of Police (Kochi City) Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar for protection from being taken back to her home state against her will.
