A 16-year-old boy was killed after a firecracker exploded in his hand during Vishu celebrations at Koyilanda in Kozhikode on Wednesday (April 15). The victim has been identified as Adwaith, son of Aneesh.
The tragic event happened around 2:00 p.m. Although the teenager was rushed to the Koyilandy taluk hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
