Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the late Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji’s efforts in the conservation of peacocks and highlighted the seer’s compassion not only for humans but also for animals and birds.
He said the seer’s initiatives reflected concern for environmental protection and cultural values, noting that the peacock is India’s national bird and also Lord Subramanya’s vahana.
