Negotiations on the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) between India and the United States are set to resume this month, according to an ANI report. An Indian delegation will visit the US from April 20 to 22 to continue the talks, it added.
Notably, this comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump had a phone call yesterday, April 14.
Trump calls on Modi, review bilateral cooperation
In a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Modi wrote that he received a call from Trump, where the two leaders reviewed the substantial progress made in bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
He added that the two also expressed their determination to further strengthen the comprehensive global strategic partnership in all areas; they discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure.
