The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Wednesday (April 15, 2026) said its media wing general secretary Pudi Srihari was detained by the police near the residence of former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Tadepalli in Guntur district.
In a statement, the party said police officials took Srihari into custody without warning and seized his laptop and mobile phone. The party said authorities initially did not disclose his whereabouts, raising questions about transparency and civil liberties.
