The standoff over the release of Mahesh Narayanan-directed Mammootty-Mohanlal starrer Patriot was resolved on Tuesday following talks between FEUOK and the United Organization of Kerala Film Exhibitors’ United Organization of Kerala.
FEUOK representatives have written to the Kerala Film Producers Association that the existing revenue sharing model of 60:40 in favor of the producer and the exhibitor will prevail in the first week, followed by 55:45 in the second week. The revenue sharing pattern will be 50:50 from the third week. The exhibitors’ organization had earlier refused to release the film after its producer Anto Joseph asked for a 60:40 revenue share in the first two weeks of its release.
