The Sri Lanka Navy arrested four fishermen from Rameswaram and impounded their boat between Dhanushkodi and Thalaimannar on Monday night (April 13, 2026) on charges of crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line.
Sources said the fishermen — S. Sekar, 66; T. Sakthivel, 54; S. Arunagiri, 54; and V. Paulraj, 55 — ventured into the sea on a boat owned by S. Gladstone of the Rameswaram fishing jetty on Monday.
